A phrase used after very few moments in history, the entire world is looking forward towards a “new normal” which will follow the COVID-19 pandemic. This “new normal” will be especially pertinent for those over 60 or others who are immunocompromised. Some main areas of impact include medical care, travel, eating, and public gatherings, just to name a few.
Telemedicine and online health care will become increasingly popular and common as it has for the past few months. Both allow for more opportunities of increased medical visits and the ability to see more than one doctor.
Travel will also be a greatly impacted industry in the new normal. Road travel will be much more popular than utilizing public transportation. This in turn will cause a lot of foreign travel to be turned more local or regional. Disinfecting common areas such as hotels, restaurants, and other public locations will also become much more vocalized to its users and many vacation services may even require proof of vaccination.
