The number of new COVID-19 cases in children, along with hospitalizations, in Jacksonville, Fla. has increased over the last week or so across the state. 

Just as schools across Florida prepare to head back to school. School buildings are preparing to reopen under an emergency order and allow students to attend classes in person five days a week. According to the Florida Department of Health many children ages 17 and under have tested positive since the beginning of the pandemic. More children in Florida are needing hospitalization. Some of the children died from complications due to COVID-19 and had no pre-existing health conditions. Read More Info News4JAX
