Housing

For over twenty-five years, our national experts have helped shape the quality of our nation’s housing and our nation’s community revitalization policies and practices for the past. We’ve helped improve the effectiveness of national housing initiatives. This includes programs for affordable housing development, housing finance, economic development, and housing opportunities.

Did you know that over 11 million low and elderly households pay more that 50% of their annual income on housing? 

Our research and technical assistance expertise is designed to promote healthy and sustainable communities, and to enhance the quality of life for our nation’s families and for individuals in need of assistance.

• Develop strategies to build capacity to reduce and end homelessness.
• Provide technical assistance to public and assisted housing in administering and managing all administrative and operational aspects of housing programs.
• Build organizational capacity in areas such as financial systems, personnel policies, inventory controls, procurement, construction contract management, maintenance and financial management.

Community Services

In communities all across the world, the National Center for Community Strategies’  programs and services are proving that we can confront the challenges of affordable housing production and preservation, homeless services, transitional and permanent supportive housing, and civic engagement.

We develop strategies to increase the availability of housing that is affordable to low and moderate income residents and help homeless individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and housing stability, all while improving the economic status and viability of low and moderate income residents and communities.
